Team Culture
WE ARE FAMILY
Collaboration, communication, and camaraderie are at the heart of our culture.
We steer clear of silos and work together in an open environment that thrives on learning from each other and calling upon the many years of experience each team member brings to the table. Drawing upon the differences and similarities of each individual ensures that all team members are valued, supported, and nurtured.
We have an atmosphere where we can have discussions that are passionate about what’s working and what’s not working. Communicating honestly, openly, and effectively enhances our trust in each other as well as in the company. And our leadership is always there to support with an open-door mindset.
We are there for each other in an environment where each of us can grow, thrive, and be challenged along with an entrepreneurial spirit allowing personal growth and independence. Whether in the office or on the construction site, our positive workplace is what propels our teamwork, morale, and productivity.
Balancing Work With Fun
Another way we build our team’s strength is by having some fun, such as:
- Friday get-togethers, Top Golf, bowling, cook-outs, trivia nights, seasonal events
- Leadership Development training through Rapport Leadership International
- Participating in Associated Builders and Contractors functions
- Volunteering through community outreach
- Taking a break and hitting the West Orange Trail for a run, walk, or ride
WE ARE COMMUNITY
R. C. Stevens’s success is also tied to the community. Being a caring corporate citizen by giving back to the community has made our success possible and is a core value we’ve strongly embraced for 95 years. Giving back and being active in our community is part of our overall company mission!
