R. C. Stevens provided construction services for Kidsville Pediatric IV, which was a conversion of an existing bank building into a medical office building. This required converting the drive in teller area to office space. There was a 2000 square foot addition to the existing bank building. Concrete masonry units and wood roof trusses were used. The Right Track process was used, incorporating team integration and cost control.
There was a four-month duration for project completion. The special obstacles were extensive negotiation by the design team with the County in the determination of impact fees since existing building use was changed from regular office (bank) to medical.
